Pop Pilgrims – Pop Pilgrims – Los Angeles: The Graduate church

The final scenes of The Graduate are incredibly enduring: When Dustin Hoffman banged on the second-floor window of the United Methodist Church, he earned his place–and the movie–a spot in film history. For our second stop in Los Angeles, Pop Pilgrims took a tour of the little-changed church, guided by the current Pastor (and surprised by a churchgoer who was actually there back in 1967 when the movie was shot).

  1. Uhhhhhhh.

The sound of silence scene in the back of the bus had very little to do with religion or the church. Sorry lady, but this movie has everything to do with humanity and virtually NOTHING to do with your silly church or religion.

  2. 3d

  3. How did I know you were gonna reenact the scenes? Because I would have too!

  4. Great show! If you can shoot outside CA, try visiting 671 Lincoln Avenue, Winnetka, Illinois, the Home Alone house! I heard that the people who live there are welcoming and have great stories to share.
