What have you done to show God and Jesus that you want to enter back into their presence?

Question by Clarity: What have you done to show God and Jesus that you want to enter back into their presence?
I hear so many people touting people need to be better, but what is everyone doing out there to show their love to their Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ?

I sent a message to a friend in the military letting them know they are serving God and their country and that we pray for him to be safe.

Seek His presence by living worthy of the companionship of the Holy Ghost. At least, that is what I’m attempting to do.

Question by 0000: Where does your church create their postcards?
My church is looking for new ways to market and advertise. I’m interested in sending postcards to the local and bordering cities. I want to know if anyone has experience with sending postcards for their church and also what specific websites or companies should i use? I really appreciate any feedback.

Thank you!

Churches “marketing themselves” — what are they money making businesses?

Oh Gosh! – Atheists will have a field day with this one. They ALREADY claim that religion is just a way to make money from gullible people.

Your question only adds fuel to the fire. 🙁

Why not send a postcard telling people that for only $ 500 dollars they can plant a “seed of faith” and that God will bless them many times over for their ‘seed faith’
TV Evangelists do this all the time.

Churches should NOT have to market themselves.

Is it ok to give someone a religious gift if you don’t agree with their religion?

Question by Skepticat (UKB Operative): Is it ok to give someone a religious gift if you don’t agree with their religion?
In my case, I often give my family and friends Christian-oriented gifts because they are all Christian. As an atheist, however, I often feel uncomfortable doing this because I feel that I might be encouraging them to persist in their beliefs. Generally, I feel that a gift should be chosen with the receiver in mind but is this an exception?

If it’s difficult for you to empathize, imagine if you had a loved one who is a Scientologist. Would you give them Scientology-oriented gifts? Even if you really hate everything Scientology stands for and think it’s dangerous?

How do I have page views on my blog from Cairo, Egypt if their internet is down?

Question by SensoryOverload2012: How do I have page views on my blog from Cairo, Egypt if their internet is down?
I just have a small Christian blog that I just started on Jan. 7, 2011 and hadn’t had any views from Egypt before yesterday. Now I have a few hits from Cairo but I thought their internet is down. Most of my page views are from America, where I am located. It just seems odd to me.

What are your thoughts on the Episcopal church consecrating their first Lesbian Bishop?

Question by THE GUARDIAN OF FOREVER: What are your thoughts on the Episcopal church consecrating their first Lesbian Bishop?
The Episcopal Church yesterday consecrated their very first gay woman, who is also partnered, as Bishop. This is the first Lesbian made a Bishop, and the second homosexual person overall as Bishop.

Of course, there is some controversy over this, with many supporting it and many decrying it.

What are your thoughts on this?

Can/should a Gay or Lesbian person be a leader of the Church?

It’s not the first time a church has gone against what the Bible teaches, so it’s really not all that big of a deal.

Can I sue the Catholic Church for refusing to perform a civil partnership ceremony in their church?

Question by General Custard: Can I sue the Catholic Church for refusing to perform a civil partnership ceremony in their church?
I aksed the local Bishop, and he refused, but surely this is illegal under the Laws of England? Can I sue them in the Court of Human Rights for this outrage? Why should the Catholic church be allowed to discriminate against gay men and women?

And this exactly is why Prop 8 in California is such a big deal.

About your question, I honestly don’t know, but some people have told me yes, others don’t think you can.

It’s tough. Church rights v. minority rights.

Why church pastors tell their congregation that they church is the right church?

Question by God’s anointed: Why church pastors tell their congregation that they church is the right church?
This is so absurd, as preachers and pastors tell their congregation that their church is the right church. I believe God will punish them, because there is constant fracas, debates and confusion of its members telling people that their church is the right church.

The right church is when God comes and take his people from all the churches. Even those who are Christians and had no church based, if God sees he or she fit, they all will go. The Bible says two in the corn field and one taken away, two in the bed and one taken away.

God will punish these ministers who bend the bible and preach that their church is the right church.

The world what do you think?
