Why does Senator Obama not join another church since the one he belongs to advocates separation from Whites?

Question by Rebecca: Why does Senator Obama not join another church since the one he belongs to advocates separation from Whites?
Unless Sen Obama renounces the racist ideology of his current church and joins another church, I don’t believe he would make a suitable President. I also can’t understand why they accept him anyway because he is White. Also will he support Israel militarily if they are threatened?

  1. Where did you get a silly idea like that about Obama’s church or are you purposely just spreading falsehoods hoping some of it will stick?

  2. When I mentioned this in an answer ericktravel reported me and I was received a violation and my answer was deleted. So, I had better not answer. Obama also doesn’t cross his heart during the pledge of allegiance, which he doesn’t recite.

  3. All churches must not be racists because it will be used to discriminate others especially by someone who is vying for the highest position in the country.

  4. That makes absolutely no sense since Obama’s father is black and his mother is white. How can he be a member of such a church if he himself is as culturally diverse as he is?

    Check your facts.

  5. Church is not state, and state is not church. Keep them seperate.

Did you just say Obama is white?

  6. Why don’t you prove the racism- because you can’t. Look into it for yourself instead of buying the propaganda that the far-right is spewing. It’s amazing what panic and fear will make the “party of personal responsibility” do.

  7. His church does *not* advocate separation from whites. This is a smear campaign from the right wing slime.

His church does advocate a commitment to helping Africans, but that’s a long way from advocating reverse segregation.

  8. His church honors the ethnicity of African Americans.

  9. his church isn’t racist, it supports strengthening the black community, fighting for their rights and the rights of all humankind. check their website. and don’t just read the cover page. actually look into it, please.

  10. That pretty much speaks for itself. He’s anti white and anti American. the young dumb the little white Libby’s are really really stupid. Day R goot white libs.

  11. America, this is your #1 reason you don’t get good candidates to run for office. No human being should endure this kind of juvenile name calling, especially for no good reason. Read here for the real story and make up your OWN mind … http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/church.asp

  12. i guess he’s stuck there for now. your source please, about his church. if it’s true, he’s not electable. you can’t separate church he goes and the fact he’s running for the highest office. are you going to elect a person going to a jihad mosque. i am not saying his church = jihad, all i am saying is where he goes on sunday should be under scrutiny because he wants to be Commander In Chief!

  13. Your question is based on three fallacies.

FIRST: Barack Obama is not white. He is half white and half black. Most people seeing a guy like him on the street, not knowing his mother was white, would undoubtedly perceive him as black based on his appearance.

SECOND: the church to which Senator Obama belongs is not racist and does not advocate separation from whites. See this link for plenty of facts on the matter of Obama’s religion and church:
    http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/sliming_obama.html

THIRD: It is likely that Senator Obama would take appropriate action to defend Israel if it were under attack. He has spoken publicly many times about his strong support for Israel.

Please be careful about making such inaccurate statements, particularly about Senator Obama’s church. It isn’t fair to his fellow congregants.

  14. Obama is afraid of being called an Uncle Tom

  15. He got on Oprah and told the whole world he was/is a member of that church. However, there is no need to get on here and repeat it because either your question will be deleted or you will be reported. There are people on here who REFUSE to see the truth and are seeking ways to stop others from seeing the truth. It will come out, Do not concern yourself with the denials that they continue to do.I do wish he was a member of another church but he is true to that one. BTW,every church I have attended in the last 30 years has always had a mix of every race and none were barred from joining. It is hard to guess what he will do about Israel, all we have heard is that he will bring change. What change? Who knows?

  16. Why does everybody sounds so surprised is beyond me. Did anybody really believe that if elected Obama would do noting for the black communities or for Africa in general? Even if the guy had nothing to do with it all, because of his race and because of the pressure he would get from minority groups and civil groups he would be somehow forced to land a hand to help the situation of African American and Africans in general … it is like saying that Hillary if elected won’t give a special look at making women rights stronger. It is obvious this would happen.

  17. have you attended his church, or is this just RUMORS you heard

  18. Barack Hussein Obama,Jr., needs to make a public statement clarifying whether or not he ever received Muslim religious instruction, and thus far, he has failed to renounce the Muslim religion publicly. Second, go to Web research re Obama’s Chicago Black church and read their doctrine, and it should become clear the church is racist (pro-Black), and I am not condemming that stance, because many countries on our small planet are racist. My definition of racist is being for one’s own kind, race, or ethnicity, and Japan and China are two huge global examples, as both control their borders, and discourage other than their own race from immigrating to their respective countries. Obama is 50 % White, and 50 % Black, so his accurate classification is Mixed-Race, or bi-racial. Obama runs as a Black candidate because it is politically advantageous. What to you think would happen to his support from Black-Americans if he ran as a White candidate? I agree with you, Obama should join another church which has a less militant ideology and welcomes all races, which his church does not, or I did not read in in their doctrine. For more, go to: http://www.barackobamacandidate.org/ and review and see video.

  19. Oh, Rebecca. There are hundreds of black churches across America that have similar doctrines. I am a Lutheran… predominantly German/Czech church goers… all very white. No black there at all. Now does that upset you… and if so, why? His church embraces the African community. What is so wrong with that since he had an African father??

You’re still in high school , aren’t you… or more likely . middle school.

  20. maybe you should join another church, this was a free country last time i checked
